D-Panthenol Gel is naturally derived from vitamin B5. It is suitable for DIY hair care and skincare products.
Also referred to as dexpanthenol, this product is the pro-vitamin of D-pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5), which means that the body converts it from D-panthenol into the vitamin B5 after absorption. Pantothenic acid is a natural substance present in all living cells and it plays an important role in cell regeneration.
This product comes in the form of a sticky, highly viscous water solution (with concentration around 70%)
Usage rates: up to 5% (usually around 1-2%).
Solubility: liquid form that is soluble in water.
Phase/temperature: added to the cool-down phase of an emulsion.
Special requirements: most stable at pH 4.0-6.0 and temperatures below 70°C.
