Lipstick Base

Lipstick Base is easy to use and can be described as long-wearing. For moulded lipsticks, it is melted and blended with castor oil, pigment dispersions and
pearls.

A Typical Formulation:

Ingredients % (wt/wt)

• Lipstick Base 50.00
• Castor oil 38.80
• Pigment 10
• Additives 2.2

Manufacturing Procedure

1. In beaker, combine all the ingredients, heat to 85⁰C while continuously stirring
2. Continue mixing for 20 minutes and check shade.
3. Once the shade has been approved or adjusted, remove from heat and begin cooling while stirring. Continue cooling to 78⁰C.
4. Pour into moulds.

Additives
Oil-soluble actives, anti-oxidants and oil-soluble extracts may be added to customise and protect the lipstick.

Ingredients: Isopropyl myristate (and) Glyceryl stearate (and) Paraffin wax (and) Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) wax (and) Polyethylene wax (and) Ricinus
Communis (Castor) Seed oil (and) Cetyl alcohol (and) Microcrystalline wax (and) Hydrogenated castor oil (and) Cera Alba (beeswax) (and) Silica.
