TYPES OF MINERAL FOUNDATION POWDER
Mineral foundations usually come in loose form – loose powder in a jar with a sifter insert. Loose powders can also be pressed, to create pressed powders.
FUNCTION AND BENEFITS
The main function of mineral foundation is to provide some coverage and thus hide skin imperfections. It gives a smooth and uniform appearance. Mineral makeup is applied after other skincare products, such as moisturizer, have already been applied.
FOUNDATION SHADES
We have numbered our foundations shades from 1-6, with 1 being the lightest shade and 6 being the darkest. You can start with one of our example formulas and then if required use the notes provided below to adjust it to suit your skin tone.

- Pigments needed for mixing the chosen shade
- Instructions for making your mineral foundation powder and adjusting the shade
- Base powder & Pigments are enough to mix 2 batches of the shade variation chosen
ADDITIONAL items you will need
- Mini Grinder to properly mix your foundation powder
- Micro spoons for measuring pigments
- Mini Measuring spoons for measuring
- 30g or 50g Sifter jar to store your finished foundation powder
The instructions for the quantities include an amount of a “mini- scoop”. This is not included in the kit, and a quantity is not provided as to how much a “mini-scoop” is. It would be very helpful if such a scoop was included in the kit.
