SCIENTIFIC PROCESS
Oily skin is the result of hyperseborrhoea (excess sebum). It is emphasized by the growth of bacteria and yeasts in sebum bags. Bacterial growth and lipid oxidation prevent pores from opening, promoting the emergence of black heads, irritation and inflammation.
GENTLE CLEANSING OF EXCESS SEBUM
Saponosides in Ivy and Soapwort help gently to cleanse the excess of sebum and eliminate dead cells. They prevent reactions by irritated sebaceous glands.
MODERATION OF SEBUM PRODUCTION
Soapwort, Ivy, Sage and Burdock have a normalizing action onsebaceous glands, reducing their sebum production.
STIMULATION OF SKIN MICRO-CIRCULATION
Lemon, Burdock and Ivy provide a source of vitamins and possess tonic and circulation-stimulating properties. They thus purify skin of any toxins produced by bacteria and yeasts.
PREVENTION OF BLACK HEAD FORMATION, BACTERIAL AND YEAST GROWTH
Ivy, Sage and Lemon possess antioxidant and astringent properties, preventing lipid oxidation at the skin surface and constricting dilated pores. They thus prevent the appearance of black heads and, as purifiers, prevent the growth of bacteria and yeasts that cause skin irritations and excess sebum production.
MOISTURIZATION
Burdock, Watercress and Lemon provide minerals, amino acids and alpha-hydroxyacids, which allow to soften, clean and moisturize the Stratum corneum
Dosage: 1 – 5% in cosmetic preparations
Caution for use: Add to emulsions, at the end of the preparation process, either cold or at 35-40 °C, during cooling
