Mango Butter is a rich, creamy natural butter extracted from the kernels of the mango fruit. Firm at room temperature yet beautifully melting on contact with the skin, it is a favourite ingredient for body butters, balms, lotion bars, lip care, hair masks and other nourishing DIY skincare formulations.
Naturally emollient and skin-conditioning, Mango Butter helps soften dry skin and adds a luxurious, silky feel to anhydrous products such as whipped body butters, massage bars, salves and balm sticks. It is also a lovely alternative to shea butter when you want a lighter-feeling butter with good glide and a smooth finish.
Mango Butter is especially useful in personal care products designed for dry skin, mature skin, lips, hands, feet, hair masks and protective balms. It is commonly used in creams, lotions, body butters, lip care and hair care products.

Usage Information
Use Mango Butter in DIY skincare and haircare formulations where richness, glide and a soft skin feel are desired. It can be melted gently and added to the oil phase of lotions, creams and emulsified body butters, or used in anhydrous products such as balms, salves, body butters, massage bars and lotion bars.
For whipped body butters, melt Mango Butter together with your chosen carrier oils and other butters, allow the mixture to cool until semi-solid, then whip until light and creamy. Mango Butter can be used as an alternative to shea butter in whipped body butters.
For solid balms, lip balms and lotion bars, combine Mango Butter with waxes and oils to create a firmer product that softens on contact with the skin. It is also suitable for hair masks and conditioners where a richer, more nourishing feel is desired.
Always melt gently over low heat and avoid overheating. For external use only. As with all cosmetic ingredients, test your final formulation in small batches first and perform a patch test before regular use.
