Berrywax is produced from the berry fruit peels of the Rhus Verniciflua tree native in China. The berries are washed in hot water. The Berry Wax seperates out when boiled in hot water and is then skimmed off the surface, before being despatched to the manufacturer in Germany where the final refining process takes place.
Because a significant part of it melts at temperatures < 30 °C, Berrywax feels very silky and soft, comparable to a classic emollient. In addition, it produces very soft textures and improves significantly the sensory characteristics of O/W emulsions. It give a particularly soft texture to whipped creams.
Perfect for LIp Gloss, Lipsticks and Mascaras.
It is also an excellent additive for oleogels, suitable for lip gloss formulations and mascaras, and works as an outstanding pay-off enhancer in lipsticks. Although it is soft, Berrywax improves break resistance in pencil preparations.
